About us

The #1 Carpentry Specialists in Georgia. You’re in good hands with Trued Carpentry.
About us What’s In a Name?
Natural curiosity probably has you asking: “What does ‘Trued’ mean anyway?” Well, for starters it’s pronounced “trood” and in the construction world it simply means to make sure everything is perfectly level, plumb, and square... the word signifies accuracy. Everyone wants a contractor that’s honest, dependable, and does their job right and that’s why we chose it as our name because it best represents our ideals.

Trued is also short for “True Education”, as a company we envision doing more than just simply building and repairing homes. We see a need for mentorship programs that especially help young people to learn basic skills and even open their worldview to possible career opportunities in the trades, programs that teach critical life lessons that many learn too late in life. For us “True Education” must not only provide for our physical and mental needs but our spiritual necessities as well to be complete. Our unique approach uses the experiences of everyday life as a lesson book for bringing meaning and purpose to life. We’re always on the look out for opportunities to teach and share our knowledge in individual as well as group settings. If you or someone you know is interested in such a program please contact us for more details.

As a kid, and into my young adult years, I remember my father always asking me what I wanted to do when I grew up and at the time I never was able to give him a solid answer. It wasn’t until my wife and I moved to Massachusetts that I found out what my passion in life was after I helped a Contractor finish a renovation at a friends restaurant, that’s when I got the “bug”. I eventually pursued the career by starting my apprenticeship, I remember coming home every night after a hard days work and spending another couple hours, at least, studying books and whatever else I could get my hands on to improve my knowledge of the craft.

Fast forward and after completing my apprenticeship my wife and I decided to move back to Georgia and start our business. God has blessed us with some amazing customers and opportunities for growth. My grandmother use to say if you do what you love then you never have to work another day in your life. I’ve found that to be partially true because to be honest some days are better than others. But overall I’m amazed that I get to build things for a living, up to this day I still look back at a job well done and in a microcosmic way relate to the satisfaction God had when He said after creating (or building) the earth in the beginning: “it was very good”. The same passion I had in the beginning, my indelible desire to do things the right way, and to see my customers enjoy my work as much as I do is what makes me feel like I have the best job in the world.

I vividly remember as a young child seeing my grandfather, on his veranda, bent over his drafting table examining and drafting blueprints. As a little girl I was very proud to share in conversation that my grandfather was a builder. My father who was trained by my grandfather followed in his steps and went on to build a business of his own. I again remember being so happy to share with my friends that "my dad knows how to build houses!" Fast forward and as life would have it, I end up marrying a carpenter. Although he was not yet a builder when we met, it was a joy watching him discover this hidden talent. As with the other men in my life I was very proud of Glenn's new craft.

I didn't acquire the carpentry skill, but what I did gain I now bring to Trued. From my grandfather, I received his entrepreneurial spirit. I learned from my father his keen sense of order and structure; qualities that would become indispensable to me in my career in accounting and finance. If anyone asks, at Trued, I'm the one behind the scenes helping with the administrative aspects of the business, primarily in accounting and finance.

Together we are building a legacy not just to build nice structures, but to change lives by enhancing the quality of life for our clients and to pass on this beautiful trade to future generations.
